Implant Overdentures

Removable Restorations for people who are missing all of their teeth in one or both jaws

An implant overdenture is a denture that has some sort of direct connection to dental implants. The connection may be a gold bar that is screwed onto the implants and utilizes some type of attachment within the denture to fasten to the bar or individual attachments screwed into each implant with seperate attachments in the denture. Whatever the design, the object here is to overcome the instability and lack of retention of a common complete denture.

Overdentures are relatively inexpensive when compared to more sophisticated types of implant restoration such as crowns or hybrid fixed restorations but they are very effective. One of the main advantages of an overdenture is that it is very easy to clean and care for and this will help limit additional expenses down the road.
