Description

a one stage technique refers to the placement of a dental implant with one surgical procedure. When the implant is inserted, it is not covered up with the soft tissues. It is allowed to protrude through the gingiva. This technique implies that the implant is not loaded in any way.

Advantages

There is no need for an additional surgery and the gingival tissue is completely matured when the implant is ready to load

Possible accidental loading of the implant.
