Two Single Crowns on Implants

This was a really interesting treatment... The patient was an attractive women in her late forties who had noticed that her maxillary central and lateral incisors were getting loose. The radiographs revealed absolutely no bone around these teeth... They were hopeless and I knew we were looking at a very difficult restorative dentistry situation which would require a great deal of grafting in order not to end up with a horrible result. I referred the patient to the periodontist that I work with and together we came up with a treatment plan for this patient.

The treatment plan called for the removal of the two teeth and a provisional removable prostheses. Grafting would be accomplished along with the placement of two ITI (Strauman) implants. Then the soft tissues would be reevaluated for the need of any further grafting procedures and finally, the patient would come back to me for the restorative completion.
