Completed Implant Placement

The implant is completely seated with a lot of irrigation. I like to use cold sterile water so I keep my bags in the refrigerator before I use them. The final seating is again done by hand. As a matter of fact, lately, I do almost all the procedure by hand, it seems to give me a better feel for what is going on.

Note the final position of the implant. I don't like to bury them too deeply...

With the first implant in place, I now tap the second site and place the second implant. In the center photo, I am removing the implant carrier (IMTEC). Note that I am using a hex driver. There is no place in this technology for slotted screws and any manufacturer that is still making them should be shot!!! [grin----]

Note the final position of the cover screws...
