Converting a Removable Restoration to a Fixed

Crown and Bridge Restoration

The final restoration is a maxillary overdenture on 6 implants with a bar and a mandibular fixed, Crown & Bridge restoration. The technician went a little overboard with the re-enforcement of the maxillary overdenture. The maxillary overdenture was metal supported with an open palate.

It is interesting to note that the patient had originally contracted for only four implants in the maxilla. I put two extra implants in and immeadiately loaded them with an overdenture on the two ZAAG attachments. This worked fine and the implants are still in place three years later and part of the final restoration.
