Patient and I determined to place a Mini-Dental Implant (MDL - Intra-Lock). Here we are using the start drill to pierce the gingiva and the alveolar bone. There is a significant undercut on the labial surface so we are aiming slightly towards the palate...

 

 

The MDL implant is brought to the site and inserted in the bone. This may be accomplished with the hand piece or one of the thumb wrenches. One must careful to control the direction precisely as the implant advances.
