Placement of Dental Implants in a Thin Ridge of Bone
|
Placing the implant is a snap. The
Drive-Lock ™ provides excellent torque. A hand wrench can also be
used. The external hex remains pristine during the entire operation so
it is only used later on when the restoration is placed.
On the thin side, you can see where
we have lost a couple of millimeters of the labial bone. As we go apically,
the bone does get thicker (this is usually the case) and if you are careful
about how you have directed the path of the surgical preparation, you
will find that we end up with all of our threads solidly in bone.
