Placement of Dental Implants in a Thin Ridge of Bone
 | On the patient's right side, we get
a view of a fairly atrophied ridge. It is about 3mm in width. I routinely
see ridges like these and I usually handle them very conservatively as
you will see in the next few slides.Note that the gold colored bur that I am using to retract the
palatal tissue is what I use for a start bur. This bur has a sharp point
and will not wobble when starting the osteotomy. | |
