ZAAG Bar Construction of Bar

The female retaining elements are screwed into the abutments. These elements have a plastic waxing sleeve that can easily be adjusted to the desired height of the bar. The bar is waxed around these elements using plastic components supplied by Zest. Note how four of the retentive elements are seated right into the implants. A fifth retentive female was set into the center of the bar. I had no intention of using all five attachments, but I felt there was no harm in putting as much into my cast bar as I could. This gives me a little latitude in attaching the prosthesis.
