The primary goal is
to have the general practitioner comfortable with referring patients for dental
implants. In order to do this, I have found that he or she must be comfortable
with techniques for diagnosis and treatment planning fully edentulous and
partially edentulous patients. The restorative dentist must be fluent in restorative
techniques for basic implant restorative scenarios and he or she must feel
confident in the maintenance of these patients.
Lectures will emphasize
diagnosis and treatment planning, Implant Overdentures, simple crown and bridge
techniques for utilizing implants and single tooth restorations. In addition,
I will endeavor to give the participants a cookbook methodology for working
with the surgeon in a cohesive team effort.
