Terms of Study:

Patients must agree to fill out at least three questionnaires during the study. Patients will receive one of two types of dental implants which will be attached to their current dentures to stabilize them. Patients must present on time for all scheduled visits and must agree to be followed up for a period of at least one year subsequent to treatment. Patients will be chosen based on their current dental condition, overall medical health and willingness to accept the treatment recommendations of Dr. Davidoff. Patients must also agree to photographs and videotaping of their dental treatment and they must sign appropriate releases for publication.

The treatment will consist of two or three implants placed in the front of the lower jaw and attached to the patients existing denture. Implants may be conventional diameter implants or mini-implants. The implants may be loaded (attached) either at the time of surgery or at a later date (approximately 3 months after implant placement). At this point, patients will only be accepted for treatment in this study during the month of September, 2003.
